Die Aufgaben eines Ölfilters
Der Ölfilter eines Autos ist quasi das Pendant zum Kraftstofffilter, denn auch er sorgt dafür, dass Partikel – in diesem Fall aus dem Öl – herausgefiltert werden. Verbrennungsmotoren müssen, damit sie einwandfrei funktionieren können, geschmiert werden. Dies passiert durch das Öl, das wir dem Fahrzeug geben und dessen Stand immer regelmäßig kontrolliert werden sollte. Da sich im Öl immer wieder Schmutzpartikel, Ruß oder auch Kraftstoff, der nicht verbrannt wurde, befinden können, müssen diese durch den Ölfilter herausgefiltert werden. Denn für einen gesunden Motor und einen gleichbleibend hohe Motorleistung ist sauberes Öl besonders wichtig. Da im Laufe der Zeit der Ölfilter aber verstopfen kann und somit die Arbeit nicht mehr richtig erledigt, muss er getauscht werden. Dies geschieht immer zusammen mit einem Ölwechsel.
Ölfilter selbst wechseln
Wer sein Auto liebt, der weiß auch, dass er regelmäßig Öl wechseln lassen muss. Dies geschieht in der Regel nach 15.000 bis 40.000 Kilometern und in regelmäßigen Intervallen. Während das Öl gewechselt wird, tauschen Mechaniker auch den Ölfilter aus. So ist gewährleistet, dass die Motorteile weiterhin gut geschmiert und Schäden vermieden werden.
